Sea Front road runs along the southern coast of Hayling Island, following the beach from the Sinah area in the west to Eastoke in the east. This is the island's seaside promenade, with views across the English Channel and access to the sandy beach that is Hayling's main attraction. Beachlands amusement park, cafes, ice cream kiosks, and the seafront car parks are all along this road. In summer, the road and its car parks are busy with day-trippers from Portsmouth, Havant, and the surrounding area. In winter, the seafront is exposed to southerly winds and has a dramatic, windswept character. The road provides the setting for much of the island's leisure activity, from windsurfing and kitesurfing to simply walking along the beach with the dog. Properties along Sea Front road are among the most sought-after on the island, with uninterrupted views across the water.
