Bound Lane
Street guide, Hayling Island
Bound Lane runs through the Eastoke area of Hayling Island, a residential road that connects the southern streets to the wider island road network. The lane has a quiet, suburban character, with bungalows and houses on either side. The Eastoke area is one of the more vulnerable parts of the island to coastal flooding, and residents are accustomed to the periodic flood warnings and the presence of the coastal defence infrastructure that protects this part of the shoreline. Bound Lane is within walking distance of the beach and the seafront amenities. The road takes its name from the boundary that it follows, marking the edge of the historic Eastoke settlement.
