Sinah Lane
Street guide, Hayling Island
Sinah Lane provides access to the south-western corner of Hayling Island, running from the main road network towards Sinah Common and Hayling Golf Club. The lane is narrow and passes through an area that feels more exposed and windswept than the sheltered inland streets. Sinah Common, an area of open grassland and scrub, lies to the south of the lane and provides public access to the coastline. Hayling Golf Club, one of the oldest courses on the south coast, occupies much of the Sinah peninsula. The Ferry Boat Inn, near the old ferry crossing point to Eastney, is accessible from Sinah Lane. The lane has a semi-rural character, with limited development and an open feel. Views from the Sinah area look west across the entrance to Langstone Harbour and south across the Solent.
